Patriot Guard Riders honor our vets when they pass

My husband, Gilbert Parry, passed away on Feb. 26 at 92 years of age. Gilbert was a native of Pasadena and lived in his birth home until the day he died. I am writing because I want to publicly acknowledge the Patriot Guard Riders. The Patriot Guard Riders are a 100 percent volunteer, federally registered 501(c) nonprofit organization which ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring fallen military heroes, first responders and honorably discharged veterans. With one email for some information, these amazing riders came to set up an honor flag line at the mortuary, and escorted our fallen hero to his final resting place with 23 motorcycles, flags flying, and again assembled a flag honor line to the grave site. The honor and respect they showed my family and friends was amazing. They protected and supported us with the utmost dignity I have ever witnessed. I will never again hear the heavy sound of a motorcycle without remembering those bikes coming up the hill. They honored us like no other, and for that we will be eternally grateful.
