We were very sad to get the news that this young Hero, 2LT Nicholas M .Newsome, 23, has passed. We have been invited by the family and the U.S. Army to attend his service and honor him, it would be our privilege to do so.
Nicholas 'Nick' Newsome graduated from Big Bear High School in Big Bear, CA where he played football and was well liked and admired by everyone. He continued his education at Tulane University in Louisiana where he participated in the ROTC program, and after graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was stationed at Ft Benning, GA at the time of his passing.
Nick has been described by all his friends and acquaintances as being very smart, driven, confident, positive and an inspiration to everyone who knew him. He always had a smile on his face and encouraged all to live life fully and with excitement.

Stage at the gate at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518 (Stage at the gate to form a Flag Line as the Hero and family arrive, the procession will continue on to Staging area #9)

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
