The family of James "Sweet Jimmy" Genn, 70, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his service and military honors, we would be honored to do so.
Jimmy served in the Army (Green Beret) as a Sergeant with the Special Forces from 1965 to 1968. He served in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. He is a recipient of the Purple Heart from his service in Cambodia while serving as a sniper. Military medals awarded include: Expert Rifleman; National Defense Service; Vietnam Campaign; Service Air (2nd award with V-devise); Vietnam Service, Parachute Badge and Army Commendation.
After his service Jimmy was a CHP Officer, CA State Corrections Officer and he worked many years for the Lake Arrowhead Association as a patrolman with Lake Patrol Safety.
Jimmy was an avid fisherman. He taught fishing classes at Lake Faire. He was also a member of the Sky Forest Elks and the Lake Arrowhead Historical Society.
He is survived by his wife Mary, three daughters and six grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
