The family of Joe Richard Salazar has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to accompany them on this his final journey.
Joe was born in Los Angeles in 1933 and entered into eternal rest on 01 October 2013.
Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1956. During his enlistment in the Navy he served as an Aviation Boatswains Mate and was honorably discharged as an AB3. Some of the medals/awards that Joe was awarded included the Korean Service Medal, U.N. Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the China Service Medal.
Joe became a professional landscaper after his honorable discharge from the Navy. He owned and operated his own nursery in Santa Fe Springs. Joe was an expert on palm trees and it was his passion working with palms trees and many other plants
Joe is survived by his wife Virginia Gayle, his two brothers Gerald and Steve and one sister, Kathy. He leaves behind ten children, seventeen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
