The family of Andrew 'Andy' Barela has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral service for their Hero, it would be our honor to do so.
Andy Barela served in the U.S. Army from May 23, 1968 to Feb 20, 1970 on active duty. He served in Korea during the Vietnam Era. He then transferred to the Army reserves and served until 1993 as a reservist.
After serving active duty he worked for Verizon for 36 years and retired 3 years ago. He was very interested in history of all kinds but especially the history of WWII. He was an avid gun collector, and was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved riding his Harley in his younger years.
Andy is survived by his wife Dianne, 5 children and 8 grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
