The Patriot Guard Riders have again been invited to participate in Rancho Cucamonga’s Annual Founder’s Day Parade.  This year’s theme, “A Tribute to Rancho Cucamonga’s Landmarks & Legacies,” reminds us of the hundreds of military banners that adorn Rancho’s streets; far too many of them bearing Gold Stars.

Those who have attended or participated in the past are aware that the parade is extremely well attended, although short in length through the streets of Victoria Gardens.  By request, the PGR will participate as the first unit in the parade.  Our group commitment will therefore end before 0930, with the option to go our separate ways, or stick around to enjoy the parade.

Time Table for Saturday 09 NOV 13:

0700 - Stage near Richie’s Diner at the north-west corner of Interstate 15 and Foothill Blvd.  (Richie’s, Del Taco, and Chevron gas)  http://goo.gl/maps/PUyo7

0730 - Form the order of march

0745  - Briefing and KSU for parade staging

0800 - Line up of parade participants (Near the Victoria Gardens Food Court… hopefully it will be open.  The starting location has been changed this year.)

0900 – Start of parade

A few decorated cages are strongly encouraged!  This is another opportunity to display the diversity of PGR members and the vehicles in which they participate… that there are no limitations other than respect.  Patriotic or military attire would certainly be appropriate, as would decorated bikes.

You do not have to be a veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  Everyone is welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission, go to the staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
