Per request of our good friend Gregg “Digger” Walker (Walker Family Funeral Services) the family of Erwin Cooper has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.
“Coop” as he was fondly known was born in Houston, Texas on May 18, 1938 and entered into Eternal Rest on March 4, 2016.
After graduating from Jack Yates High School in Houston he joined the Air Force proudly serving his country from 1956 to 1960.
After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Erwin worked for General Instruments as a product manager for ten years. He was also a franchisee, owning two Seven-Eleven stores for ten years.
Erwin enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling the country, RV’ing with the Freewheelers RV Club and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Erwin is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years Nellie Jean and daughters, La Shaun and Monae. He is also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
