ALPINE/CAMPO, Monday, 30 MayMemorial Day event
Time for our 4th. annual ride to Campo. We will LEAVE the Carl's Jr., 1263 Tavern Rd., Alpine, at 7:50 am. Off I-8 & Tavern Rd.
We will go to the VFW in Campo. 20 minute break there, coffee, donuts, rest rooms. Then we will go to 4 different cemeteries in that area. At each cemetery we will place flags in Veterans head stones, & then play taps with a flag line. Members of the VFW will accompany us up there. (Actually we are going with them).
Just to let you know, 3 of the cemeteries have dirt roads to get to them. I don't have any trouble with my bike including pulling the trailer on the roads. You will get a little dusty.
Everyone that has went with me to do this has been glad they went. The Vets buried up there kinda get left out except for this event.
The last stop is in Potero. After we finish there you can do as you wish. We can go back to the VFW (in Campo) & have free hamburgers, or you can leave us & go where ever you wish.
Any questions please email me.
