The family of Turner Jay Hopkinson, 30, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Turner enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served with Law Enforcement (Military Police), specializing as a military dog trainer/handler from July 25, 2005 to July 24, 2010, including two tours in Iraq.
Following his honorable discharge with the rank of Corporal, Turner earned a BS degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. He went on to graduate in December 2015 with a degree of Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. Turner became a Deputy Public Defender with the County of San Diego Public Defender's Office.
Turner is survived by his parents, his step-mother, his grandparents and 2 aunts.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the cemetery. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather meet at the cemetery, we will meet you there.

Turner Jay Hopkinson 9/14/1986 - 12/1/2016You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
