The family of Ray Rubio, 52, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Ray enlisted in the US Army Sept 30 1982 to Sept 29 1985.  He served proudly with the 508th Airborne out of Ft. Bragg, NC, a unit of the 82nd Airborne, and was deployed to the Suez Canal.  Ray earned the Parachute Badge, Marksman Badge M-16, Army Good Conduct Badge, Allied Forces Expeditionary Medal (Granada).

Ray was a Smokejumper for the United States Forestry Service with the Redmond Smokejumpers at Redmond, Oregon for 28 years.  He loved to go camping at Glamis and ride the dunes with buggies and ATV’s with his family.  Ray is survived by his wife Julie, a son and a daughter, his brother and sister and his father.
