The family of Gary "Mike" Manson invites the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their loved one at his final service. We are honored to accept this invitation.
Mike was 71 at the time of his passing after a decade of fighting various forms of cancer. Although if you met him, you would not have known he'd been ill.
Mike enlisted in 1965, after his Active Duty, he was a Reserve for 6 more years.
After his service, Mike worked for GTE-Verizon for 35 years as a Technician, and a Training Specialist developing
procedures used today. He devoted his retirement to his family and friends. Mike volunteered at his granddaughters schools as a proctor and assistant since their kindergarten year. During those years Mike had a very positive impact on all who came to know as Papa Mike.
Mike is survived by his daughter Shelly Negus, two granddaughters, and four nieces.
