The family of Freddie V. Martinez has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the services of their Hero, it would be our honor to do so.

Freddie Martinez was a combat Veteran who served in the US Army in Vietnam from 1967 through 1968.  His father and his son, James are also combat veterans.

After his discharge from the military, the military was always a big presence in his life. He was one of the founding members of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in San Bernardino back in the 70s, and a lifetime member.  He also worked with charities over the years raising money to help other Veterans with job placement.

In his civilian life, Freddie worked as a Correctional Officer with the Department of Corrections for 17 years and then he and his wife owned and operated a bail bond business for 15 years.

Freddie loved to play golf and put together charity golf tournaments and did this right up until he became ill.

Freddie is survived by his loving wife Phyllis, his son James, and was preceded in death 2 yrs ago by his oldest son David, he is also survived by 2 grandchildren.
