The family of Theresa E. Gonzales has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in her final resting place with full Military Honors and we would be happy to do so.

Theresa served in the US Navy from Apr 1944 till April 1946. She was honorably discharged as a Seaman 2C/Yeoman 2C.

She received the American Area Campaign Medal, and World War II Victory medal.

Theresa and her husband John of 70 years of marriage both came to  Naval Ordinance Testing Station (NOTS), Inyokern, Ca. When they came to testing, John was an active duty Marine and Theresa was active duty Navy.  Both worked and retired @ China Lake, ca.  Theresa retired as a senior office manager for the base Commander.  Theresa loved to teach and her hobbies included writing poems and letters for family and friends.  She also took great interest in teaching the "young military" because she wanted the new navy men and women coming to China Lake to learn how to do things the "NAVY WAY".

Last October, Theresa husband John was put to rest @ Bakersfield National Cemetery with PGR in attendance. It is her time now to join him in peace.

Theresa has 2 children and one grandchild.  She was born in Greney, MN and is one of 13 brothers and sisters.
