The family of WWII Hero Victor John Subia has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the services of their loved one and honor this American Hero. We are honored to attend.
Victor had just married the love of his life, Eva, in 1941 and had one child when he was drafted into the US Army in 1943. After basic training they attached him to the 1st Calvary Division for shipment to New Guinea. Because he was fluent in Japanese, he obliged to spend 3 years in combat in New Guinea, Japan (Hiroshima - after the bomb), the Admiralty Islands, and the Philippines. Victor received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, along with other medals. At the time of discharge, Victor was a Tec 5.
Eva stood by Victor, and when he returned from the war in Dec 1945, they had two more sons and were married for 72 years. Victor is survived by his wife Evangeline "Eva", his 3 sons Victor Jr., Richard, and Mario, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
