The PGR has been invited by the family of Norris L. Dozier to attend the service and Military Honors for their Hero, we would be honored to do so.
Norris Dozier enlisted in the US Air Force in June, 1967 and served honorably, much of that time in Vietnam, until his honorable discharge in June, 1973 at the rank of Sergeant.
After graduating high school Mr. Dozier enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 17. He was assigned to the 49th supply squadron as Fuel SPSupvr-PetrlFuels 63111. While serving in the Air Force Sergeant Dozier spent a combined one year and 11 months serving in Vietnam and Thailand. Sergeant Dozier received a Air Force Distinguished Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star and an Air Force Longevity Service Award for his four years of service.
Mr. Dozier has his eyes set on an island girl named Margaret. He told her one day "I'm a biker and a Veteran. I think we could have something good together". Margaret said "I don't want no biker". But before she knew it he had won her over and they were married on February 22, 2008. Norris retired from the City of Los Angeles after 20 years of service as a street operator. OG Smooth as he was known on the Motorcycle Set loved to ride! He recently packed up his HD and went on a solo ride to Florida and back. OG Smooth was just honored by the Southern California Motorcycle Riders Association for being the Vice President of Adventures LAMC from 1978 - 2017. OG Smooth was respected and honored by both young and old on the motorcycle set.
Norris leaves to honor his legacy his loving and devoted wife Marvin, Children Norrisa, David, Anthony, Gaidka, Gabriel, and Deshawn; 4 grandchildren Jizelle, Jonathan, and Suniya. His mother Ann Green, Brother Jonathan Norathan Norwood of Florida, Kenny Green and John Norwood of Oklahoma; sisters Jackie Ford of Oklahoma and Karen of Pennsylvania.
