The family and friends of Jose Guerra Mireles, 103 years of age, have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to help honor him for his service to our great Nation, we will be privileged to do so.
Jose Mireles enlisted in the US Army following his call to defend our country. He served in the US Army during WWII in both the Pacific and European campaigns and earned many awards of distinction including a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class, after having served from 1943 to 1946. He was always very proud of his military service and loved to share stories with other veterans. The PGR is very honored to be there for this member of our "Greatest Generation".
