The family of
Captain Thomas Michael Reidy, 67, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Captain Reidy proudly served his country in the United States Navy from June 1976 through September 2001, retiring after 25 years of service. Captain Reidy was a flight instructor for the F14 fleet. For his service, he was awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the Humanitarian Service Medal. He was the last commanding officer of VF-301 Fighter Squadron 301.
After retiring from the Navy, Thomas worked until retirement as a Branch Manager of Rancho Penasquitos Union Bank. Thomas was a Coach, Board Member, and Board Officer of the Poway National Little League. He was also a Board Member and President of the Poway Wrestling Foundation. Thomas was a huge San Diego Padres fan and a 21-year season ticket holder He loved to garden, travel, and spend time with his family and friends.
The family has requested an accompaniment from the family home to Miramar National Cemetery, a distance of approximately 17 miles. So, bring your large motorcycle flags.
Note: This notice is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying this hero from the family home to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
