The family and the U.S. Marine Corps have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany Cpl Christian Smith, 25, from the mortuary to the airport as he returns home to his family.  We will be honored to do so.

Cpl Christian Smith 25, was serving with the U.S. Marine Corps in 29 Palms at MCAGCC when he recently passed away.  Cpl Smith had served in the Global War on Terror in multiple deployments.

He will be returning to his family in Indiana for burial, the PGR from Indiana will receive him when he arrives and accompany him to the mortuary in his home state and will honor him for his funeral.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This accompany is approximately 140 miles, please arrive fueled up and able to ride without stopping for that distance if you want to go all the way.  If you are planning to meet the procession at LAX please arrive no later than 0630 and prepare for a Flag Line as the procession arrives.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to the airport. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the airport, we will meet you there.

This mission involves an aircraft arrival. Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes before leaving. 

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
