The family of Willard Mayfield Lafferty has invited the PGR to attend the funeral of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our Honor to do so.

Willard Mayfield Lafferty served his country in the US Navy from 1948-1952 achieving the rank of Seaman E-3 and fought in the Korean war.

Willard spent 39 years driving as a truck driver for Yellow Freight. After retirement from Yellow Freight he continued driving for several years. He loved working in his garage restoring his 1948 Dodge pick up truck and fixing things and making gadgets for use in the home.

He divorced his first wife with whom he fathered his four sons. He lost his second wife to cancer in 1999 and helped raised her son and daughter. he spent his last 15 years with his sweetheart Mary Terry in his home in Arizona. He has a younger brother, Ben and an older sister Marilyn. His sons are Willard, Timothy, David and Jason. Stepchildren George and Laura. Willard also leaves behind seven grand-children and five great grand-children.

Note: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery we will see you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
