This is Part-1 of a 2-part mission.

The family of Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 1st Class Jonalynn Samson Tamayo has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for her service to her country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

HM1 Jonalynn Tamayo, 30, of Baguio City, Philippines, served in the US Navy as an Occupational Therapy Technician.  She deployed with the Hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) to the Indo-Asia-Pacific region in 2016.  At the time of her passing, she was stationed at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD).

HM1 Tamayo is survived by her husband, her two young sons, and an extended loving family.

We will be accompanying this hero from Legacy Funeral Care to a chapel service at North Chapel, Liberty Station, San Diego.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and family from the mortuary to the chapel service. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the chapel, we will meet you there.
