The family of Corporal Ryan Evan Harris has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Cpl Ryan Harris, 21, served his country for 2 ½ years in the United States Marine Corps.  He was a diesel mechanic assigned to 1st Marine Logistics Group, Camp Pendleton, and had been deployed to the Middle East.

Ryan was an all-American kid.  A talented baseball player, he played in high school and for a church league while stationed at Camp Pendleton.  He married his sweetheart Amber just 3-months ago.

Cpl Harris had recently been honored as Marine of the month for his work on base.   He wanted to serve his country in the military prior to fulfilling his dream of joining the California Highway Patrol.  Sadly, while out with friends, this young hero was stabbed while attempting to break up a fight in downtown San Diego and died from his injuries.

Cpl Harris is survived by his wife, his parents, his grandparents, 2 older brothers, a sister, and an extended family who will miss him dearly.

The PGR has been asked to accompany Cpl Harris from the mortuary in Fallbrook to San Diego Airport for his final journey home.   Our PGR brothers and sisters in the PGR Capitol Region will be there to meet his incoming flight and again when he receives his final honors.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero from the mortuary to the airport. Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
