The family of Roger Lee Morris, 64, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the service of their loved one and to honor this American Hero; we are honored to do so.

Roger was the son of a Navy man and grew up all over the world.  He met his wife Linda in 1966 while they were both still in high school.  After high school, he enlisted in the Air Force.  While in the midst of his military career, he and Linda married in 1970.  Roger was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1972 and settled in Port Hueneme to raise his family.

In his civilian life Roger worked for Northrup Grumman at NBVC Point Mugu from 1972-1981. After his career at Northrup, he moved on to a civil service job where he contributed to the Navy Aerial Target and Decoy Programs from 1981-2006. Every job that Roger held revolved around aircraft and aerospace.  After his retirement in 2006, he continued to work as a private contractor until December 2013.

Roger is survived by his best friend and wife of 43 years Linda, his children Eric, Toby (wife Ida) and Abby, his grandchildren Kayla, Ira, Ashlee, Caden, Jocelyn, Kenny, Craig (CJ) and his brother Wayne (wife Kathy).

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.
