Per request of Murrieta Valley Funeral Home, the family of LtCol Carleton Henry Morrison, U.S.M.C., Retired has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders to honor this American Hero; it will be our honor to do so.

Carl was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on 12 July 1942 and tragically passed away in Petaluma as a result of a plane crash as he was flying his private plane home from a business trip on 06 April 2018.

Carl proudly served his country for twenty years in the U.S. Marine Corps honorably retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his tour of duty in the Marine Corps, Carl served as a Judge Advocate, Vietnam Veteran, Master of Law, Public Affairs Officer, Motor Transport Officer and most recently a Vice Commander of the Pacific Region in the Civil Air Patrol. Among his numerous awards/citations, Carl earned a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam.

After his retirement from the Marine Corps Carl started a successful Environmental Public Relations business.

Carl was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as Bishop. Most recently he was an Area Seventy Executive Secretary.

Carl is survived by his wife Mary, children Robert, Stephanie, Michael, Steven, James and Christine.  He also leaves behind twenty-three grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
