The family of Thomas Eugene Williams has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country. It will be our privilege to do so.
Mr. Williams proudly served his country from January 1969 through December 1972 in the United States Navy. Thomas served in the Vietnam War with Assault Craft Unit One out of NAB Coronado, CA. For his service, Thomas was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Star. Thomas had attained the rank of Engineman Second Class upon his honorable discharge.
Mr. Williams succumbed to the effects of Agent Orange, and passed of Metastatic Lung Cancer. As this is considered a service related fatality, there will be tags available for this mission.
Thomas was the business owner of Oceanside Truck Service for over 30 years. He was an avid motorcyclist, and had recently started his lifelong dream of operating a motorcycle service business.
Thomas is survived by his wife Dawn Le Anne, sister Patricia Goodman, brother George Williams, sons Thomas Joel Williams and Lee Michael Williams, daughters Amber June McCord and Trysha Leigh Hislop, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
The family has requested an accompaniment from the family business Oceanside Truck Service in Oceanside to Miramar National Cemetery, a distance of approximately 27 miles. It will be our honor to do so. Thomas will make his final ride on his motorcycle driven by his brother.
