The family of Lawrence Leroy Fortson, has invited the PGR to help honor his life and service to his country. It will be a privilege to do so.
Lawrence Leroy Fortson served in the United States Army from June 1962 to June 1964. At his honorable discharge he achieved the rank of SP4/E-4.
After his service Lawrence worked in Personnel and Human Resources for over 35 years. Lawrence had a great passion in his life and that was music, he was a composer, musician, songwriter and singer. He was a member of the Fisk Jubilee Singers of Fisk University in Nashville,Tennessee. Lawrence was a founding member of the John W. Work Chorale in Chicago, Illinois and later on, he became a member of the Voices of Faith Choir in Sacramento, Ca. He was always active in his church wherever he lived and he did serve as a Deacon and sang in different choirs at his churches.
Lawrence Leroy Fortson is survived by his wife Gwenelle Threatts Fortson, his two daughters Tonjuna Fortson Sookram, Raelyn Faye Fortson and his son Lawrence Woodfin Fortson. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
