The family of CMSgt George L. Roberts, 89, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his funeral service, we will be honored to do so.
George L. Roberts enlisted in the US Air Force in 1950, during the Korean War. He trained in Security Police and did this his entire 29 yr career, retiring in 1980 at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant (E-9). He was awarded the Bronze Star for service in Vietnam along with many other medals and awards.
After the military George and his family settled in Victorville where he began a new career as a Real Estate agent, most notably he worked for many years for Shear Realty, and retired again after 30 years.
George enjoyed tinkering with clocks, repairing them and restoring them and was very active in his church.
George is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Jerusha, 3 children, Myra, George Jr. and Pamela, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family approximately 11 miles from the mortuary to the church services. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the church, we will meet you there.
CMSgt Roberts will be interred at a later date in Phoenix, AZ at the National Cemetery, AZ PGR will handle that portion of the mission.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
