The family of Barry Cadreau, U.S. Army Veteran, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present at Saddleback Church, where he will receive military honors, for his service to our nation. We would be privileged to do so.

Barry, was born June 4, 1949 and enlisted in the U.S. Army in March, 1968.  He served in the Army during the height of the Vietnam war and was there during the Tet Offensive. His awards include the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Sharpshooter (Rifle). He was honorably discharged February 1971 at the rank of SP-4.

In his civilian life Barry enjoyed working for Beazer Homes for 18 years. He went on to work as Park Maintenance I for the City of Orange. He enjoyed that job as it was outdoors and not stressful, 19 hours a week. When asked if he could work extra, he never said no. He retired in July of 2017 because he was getting so tired and could no longer perform his job to his level. He did not like that his co-workers had to help him perform his job.  His Hobbies included riding a motorcycle, bowling, camping, hunting, boating, and he enjoyed fishing from the piers in Southern California.

Barry is one of 4 brothers, he is the 2nd oldest. He is survived by his wife, Lydia, a son and three daughters– Jason, Jill, Vanessa and Chandra and 6 grandchildren.
