The family of Walter Raymond Ehrmann Jr. has requested the Patriot Guard to Honor one of our Nations Heroes. It will be our privilege to do so.

Walt loved to serve, so it was with that heart he signed up to be a US Marine and serve his Country. Walt joined the Marines and became involved with the Korean War as one of his many deployments. Walt served with the Marines for 3 yrs, being discharged Honorably as a Sgt. (E-4). He entered the Marines on Oct. 22, 1953 and was discharged Oct. 21, 1956. He was discharged wearing the following medals proudly, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Overseas deployment Ribbons and many more.

Walt wasn't done serving so he joined the US Navy Reserves and served for another 4 yrs.

After his Honorable discharge from the Navy, Walt decided once again it was time to spread his wings, so he joined it seemed every organization he could where he could do the most good serving his community. Walt joined the Anaheim Fire Dept. for 16 years as a volunteer, Knights of Columbus, VFW of Buena Park. Walt also joined the Developmentally Disabled Human Rights organization and helped to care for the disabled and served on their board for 20 years.

He was also a Ham Radio Operator for many different groups, Anaheim Fire and Rescue Department, CERT, RACES, Anaheim Code Enforcement, and Anaheim Little League.

Walt had a very busy life serving and when it came time to be called home Walt was ready to go.  Walt passed away on June 19, 2018, in Orange, California.

Walt is survived by his wife Anna Marie Ehrmann, and daughter Beverly Ann Kelsy.  Walter was  preceded in death by parents Walter and Norma Ehrmann Sr., both paternal and maternal grandparents, and two sons Robert and Eddie.
