The family of Gysgt Kim K. Watrous has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the accompaniment and services of their loved one and to honor this American hero; we are honored to do so.

GySgt Watrous enlisted in the USMC in November 1969 and retired as an E-7 April 1990. While in the service he earned the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon 2 awards, Good Conduct Medal 7 awards, Rifle Marksmanship Badge, Rifle Sharpshooter badge, Pistol marksmanship badge, Basic Parachutist Insignia, National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Mast; Certificate of Appreciation, Kim was a 6060-FLT Equipment Man 15 yrs. and 10 months.

He was also a Drill Instructor MCRD San Diego, CA 1973-1976. He was a water survival safety instructor for the USMC 1974-1975. Parachute rigger in Yuma AZ 1972-1973. Flight Equipment OIC at El Toro, CA 1976-1979 also at Camp Pendleton, CA

His work history after retirement varied. He was and has always been a strong supporter of all military troops. He had his own silk screening business. One of his cherished print projects was when he made and donated Desert Storm “Support the Troops" T shirts. He also had a passion for dog rescue and was an active 20 year NRA volunteer.  There are several articles in the news papers where GySgt Watrous would wave flags welcoming home our heroes from Desert Storm at March AFB.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy, of 27 1/2 years, brother Kevin K Watrous, sister Lisa Rosengren, daughter Carrie Abrahams, nephews Joshua Rosengren, USA Retired, Aaron Rosengren and one grandchild.

Under the leathers and behind the shades
is a thumping, not of horsepower,
But determination of heart for our brothers, sisters and families
