The family of Matthew Lance Fielding has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor him on Wednesday, 26 September 2018, at Forrest Lawn- Glendale. It is our honor to do so.

Matthew joined the US Navy at age 18 and served on active duty 7/2011 - 7/2016. He continued to serve as a US Navy reservist until 9/2018. His rating was LS3, Logistics Specialist, Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4).He was stationed at Lemoore NAS and Pt.Mugu, both in California.

Following his service to America, Matthew became owner of Fielding Fabrication. He also worked for Burbank Moto and Bateman Water Heating Engineering, Inc.. His love for fabrication and welding carried over into his hobbies, especially motorcycling and mini-trucks. He was a quite the photographer, notably displaying his artistic talent on Instagram as Mattlance13.

Matthew was a hoarder of vehicles and had just purchased his first house.

Matthew's Motto - “I’d rather be an active participant than a professional spectator.”

Sadly, Our hero perished in a motorcycle accident on September 16th.

Matthew is survived by a large modern family, including mother Eileen, and Stepdad Robert Collyer. Their children Kelsey Fielding, Billy Collyer,  Jonathan Collyer, Danielle Collyer. His Grandparents, Miriam and Angel Gonzalez as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also his cat, “Vera”.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lance Fielding.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be meeting the hero and his family at the cemetery.  Please see the time table if you would like to participate.

1030 - Mission Briefing followed by KSU to graveside to await hero's arrival.

1100 - Est. Flag line for transfer of our hero from coach to graveside for Military Honors and Committal.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).
