The family of Robert Murrietta have asked the PGR to be with them as they bid a final farewell to their hero. It is our honor to do so.
Robert was born on 13 December 1948 and entered eternal rest on 21 April 2019.
Robert joined the US Army at the age of 19 and served from 21 August 1967 to 20 May 1969, with a tour of duty in Vietnam. He trained as a Light Weapons Infantryman.
He is a Purple Heart recipient as well as the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, M-14 Marksman Badge, and Parachutist Badge. His rank at the time of his discharge was as a Private First Class.
After the military, Robert worked as a truck driver in the Transportation Industry for over 30 years.
In his spare time, Robert loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed listening to music and was a big fan of hot rods. He also supported his fellow veterans through various organizations, and his fellow Teamsters.
Robert is survived by his wife Gloria, daughter Stephanie, sons Ricky and Charlie, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
This is a combat related death. There will be tags.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
