The family of MCPO Mike Martin has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.   It will be our privilege to do so.

Mike Martin, 70 years old, served his country in the Navy from 1968 to 1972, then went back into the Navy in 1985 to 2003, a total of 22 years served. Mike went to Naval training in the Great lakes in 1968. Gunners mate third class Martin reported to basic underwater demolition school in Coronado, upon graduation with class 138, he was assigned to Seal team Three. In 2001 he was promoted to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer and received orders to naval special warfare group one where he finished his dynamic and rewarding  career on June 30th. 2003. He served in Vietnam & Operation Enduring Freedom.

Master Chief Mike Martin of Seal team one and three passed away on May 30th. 2019.

A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and business owner of flesh skin grafix. Mike was a Harley enthusiast who always made his journey to the wall in D.C. every Memorial Day to honor his fallen teammates. Mike was the founder and president of the “Frogmen Motorcycle Club”. He had just finished his last and final ride with his comrades to the wall. On the way back he went to Ohio to be with his sisters, brother and extended family. That is where he passed away peacefully.

Mike is survived by his wife of 45 yrs, Gale, and two children.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the mortuary to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
