Part 2 of 2 PartsThe family and the US Army have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present for a Hero who sadly has lost his life. We would be honored to be there for his funeral.
PFC David L. Harscheid, age 22, enlisted in the US Army in September, 2018 and was stationed at Ft Benning, GA when he perished in an auto accident.
David, who grew up in the San Diego area, is described by friends as smart, funny, the best friend you'd ever want to have. He loved motorcycles, racing, sports, especially wrestling, and football, his team was the Eagles.
David is survived by his wife Destini, they were just married in August, his parents, siblings, and many other family members.
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero from the mortuary to the ceremony location, approx 21 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the ceremony, we will meet you there.

1400 – KSU for accompaniment to La Jolla Shores Hotel, 8110 Camino Del Oro, La Jolla, CA 92037 (There will be no family in the procession.)

If you wish to not do the accompaniment and prefer to go directly to the service at 1700 hrs, we will see you there. The family and the Army Rangers are looking forward to our attendance. They have both inquired to ensure that we will be there. The Rangers have selected a place they want us to stand during the service. THERE WILL BE TAGS AT THIS MISSION.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
