The family of Richard Brian Baird has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so. This will be a Flag Line Only (FLO) at RNC.
Richard Baird was born on April 13, 1964 and passed on October 6, 2019. Richard was 55 at the time of his passing.
Richard served in the U.S. Marine Corp from Feb 3, 1983 to Feb 3, 1987. His rank was CPL at the time of his honorable discharge from military service. Richard was a Special Forces Sniper and did not discuss his serving location or activities. Awards include: Rifle Expert Badge, Good Conduct Medal, National Marksman Badge, Meritorious (4th) Mast, Service Deployment Ribbon.
As a civilian, he worked for Swiss Dairy for 21 years, he was a pasteurizer and driver, he also worked for US Postal Service as a driver and worked for Gold Resort Casino in security. He was an EOD expert and he and many military and law enforcement buddies loved to go out in the desert and "blow stuff up". He also loved to fish.
His surviving family includes his wife Stacy, stepchildren Hillary and Ava, (grown) children Heather, Robert and Victoria. Brother (twin) Randy, sister Sandy, and brother Donnie.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain.) Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car.) Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Hero’s. No talking, smoking or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios and cell phones off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe all speed limits. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
