The family of Steven Douglas has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) to attend the Military Honors of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It will be our honor to do so.

Steven was born on 5 April 1947 and entered into Eternal Rest on 9 November 2019.

Steven served in the US Army from 1967 to 1989. He was a member of the 5th Special Forces Group, more commonly known as the Green Berets.  He was infantry trained and was deployed eight times to Vietnam.  He also was a Recruiter for 11 years.

At the time of his Honorable Discharge, Steven had achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class.

Among his many awards are the Silver Star, National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal(3), Vietnam Service Medal w/1 silver and two bronze battle stars, Army Good Conduct Medal(7), NCO Professional Development Ribbon(3), Army Achievement Medal(2), Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.

Steven was a big lover of football and was the Vice President of the Colorado River Division of Pop Warner Football for many years.

Steven is survived by his wife Patricia, children Jae, Michelle, Yvonne, Glenn, 15 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
