The Family has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to honor their Hero and it is our honor to do so.

Hayward Jackson, 73, died peacefully at his home in Lompoc, California on Thursday, September 10, 2020. Hayward was born on November 10, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York to Manuel and Rev. Mary Jackson.

Hayward enlisted in the U.S. Army July 29, 1966 and served as an Electrical Lineman during the Vietnam War era.  He spent his tour of duty in Europe.  He was honorably discharged on July 31, 1969 with the rank of SP-4.  He earned Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Marksman Badge M-14.

After his discharge from the U.S. Army, Hayward worked as an Electrical Lineman and Auto Body and Fender repairman.

Hayward was a member of the American Legion Post 211 Lompoc, California for seven years.

Hayward was previously married to his first wife Jenny Jackson of Denmark, and his second wife Deborah Jackson.  Both are deceased.

Hayward is survived by three children, Wendy Enderson, Terrance Jackson and Rebecca Jackson, and his four grandchildren, Nanna, William, Sofie and Andy of Denmark.

His siblings are Wade Jackson of Mainz, Germany, Virginia (Vickie) Jackson and Theodore (Ted) Jackson of Lompoc, Lisa Jackson Clark, Linda Rohan of East Northport, New York and Marilyn Carol Valdes of Edison, New Jersey.  Hayward is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, and many cousins, located in several states.

He was preceded in death by his sister Lisa Clark and his parents Manuel Jackson and Rev. Mary J. Jackson.

You do not have to be a Veteran or motorcycle rider to attend this mission.  Everyone is welcome.  We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this is your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed by the Ride Captain (R/C).  Dress for motorcycle riding or casually if you are in a car (cage).
