The family of SPC Samuel David Birmingham, 21, and the US Army have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany their Hero from the airport to the funeral home as he arrives home to his family, we will be honored to do so.

SPC Samuel "Sam" Birmingham was serving with the US Army at Ft Bliss, Texas when he was killed on his motorcycle when hit at a high rate of speed by an impaired driver who ran a red light.

Birmingham served in the Army as a unit supply specialist assigned to 1st Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team.

A native of Boron, California, Birmingham was remembered as a promising young soldier by his battalion commander, Lt. Col. Salvador Zuniga.

Sam is survived by many family members, friends and fellow soldiers.  He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
