The family of Garry Allen Chaffee has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the accompaniment and services of their loved one and to honor this American hero; we are honored to do so.

Mr. Chaffee enlisted in the USMC in June 1963 until October 1966. While in the service he did two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded a Purple Heart Medal

He was a plumber for 25 years and worked for the California Dept. of Corrections. He was also a farmer

He loved Harleys and was a member of the Geezers Motorcycle Club. He played AAA Softball and enjoyed shooting guns

He is survived by 2 sons Christopher and Kellen and one granddaughter.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the family’s home to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

Note: It will be hot so bring plenty of water and Gatorade

Under the leathers and behind the shades
is a thumping, not of horsepower,
But determination of heart for our brothers, sisters and families

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car.  If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).

Please remember to post your condolences for the family at this link:
