The family of Harold O. “Easy” Easdale, 88, USAF, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend the service of their loved one as he makes his final journey. It is our honor to do so.
Harold was born 27 April 1933 and passed away on 04 May 2021.
Harold proudly served with the US Air Force from 23 March 1953 until his retirement on 23 March 1983. After basic training he went to Aviation “A" School where he excelled at Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) courses and became an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. It was in "A" School that Harold received the nickname “Easy,” a name he affectionately became known for the next 68 years of his life. His service to our GREAT COUNTRY includes assignments to Barksdale AFB, LA to work on B-47 bombers. While at Barksdale, Easy was transferred to a B-52 Squadron. He truly loved working on the B-52s and when his first four years in the AF was about to end, he reenlisted for the first of many reenlistments to come.
After reenlisting, Harold was assigned to the following duty stations: Altus AFB, OK (B-52); Wright Patterson AFB, OH (B-52); McGuire AFB, NJ (C-141); Goose Bay Labrador Canada (transient military aircraft); March AFB, CA as Noncommissioned Officer In-Charge (NCOIC) of Job Control of all B-52s and KC135 Maintenance; Andersen AFB, Guam (B-52), Cam Ranh Bay Air Base, Vietnam.
During his tour in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star. After his tour in Vietnam, Harold went to Thailand and then back to March AFB, CA. His last duty assignments were U.S. Air Force Inspector General & Safety Center, Norton AFB, CA, and CMSGT of Quality Control for the 63rd Military Airlift Wing, Norton AFB, CA. After 30 years of multiple meritorious service medals, commendation medals, and outstanding unit awards and citations, Easy decided to retire from his Air Force career.
Easy then opened EZ’s Upholstery business in Beaumont, CA where he lived from 1983 to 2021. He often wore one of his favorite B-52 or USAF hats. He enjoyed talking about his time in the Air Force, working on airplanes and vehicles, and of his family. He loved to socialize and it was especially evident when he would go out to breakfast or dinner with family and friends.
Easy is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; sister, Erma; and grandson, Jacob. He is survived by his children Barry (Faith); Guymen Easdale; Ramona (Brad); Shannon (Lisa); six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero from the funeral home in Beaumont to Riverside National Cemetery (approximately 25 miles). You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.
Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
