This will be a Two-Part Mission

Part One


We have been invited by the family of SPC Daniela Rojas, 19, of Los Angeles, CA to be present as she is brought home to her family. It will be our privilege to do so. Daniela ("Dani") was deployed to Afghanistan when she became very ill and suddenly passed away. 

SPC Rojas was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado. Dani grew up in Boyle Heights, and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in East Los Angeles. Dani joined the Army in October 2012 and was assigned as a unit supply specialist to the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, based at Fort Carson, Colo. She deployed to Afghanistan Feb. 1, 2014. Her awards include: Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the NATO Medal and the Army Service Ribbon.

Daniela was posthumously promoted to SPC.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this American Hero. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and her family from the arrival to the mortuary. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the mortuary, we will meet you there.

This mission involves an aircraft arrival. Arrival times can change at the last minute so please check this thread for any last minute changes before leaving

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
