The family of Kirkland Ellis Harris, 86, has invited the PGR to participate in honoring his life and service to his country. It will be a privilege to do so.

Kirkland E. Harris served in the United States Navy from April 15, 1952 until his honorable discharge on March 22,1956, during the Korean War.  Kirk achieved the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and United Nations Service Medal. At the end of his service Kirk achieved the rank of COMMISSARYMAN (BAKER) PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS (CSR3).

After his service Kirk worked in Aerospace for 33 years before retiring. Hobbies included golfing, fishing, woodcutting, leather working, and traveling and camping RV style with his family.

Kirk is survived by his spouse of 65 years, Margaret Ann Harris, daughters Cindea Lou Lindley, Scottie Lynn (Paul) Briones, sons Duane Kirk (Cookie) Harris and Dwight Keith Harris, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

This Hero is the father-in-law of one of our very dear PGR sisters, Cookie Harris, who has selflessly dedicated many, many years of honoring our Heroes and comforting the families along side many of us, along with her mother and sisters.  We love you Cookie and are honored to be there for you and Kirk's family.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.

NOTE: Please observe the latest COVID-19.  Face coverings may be required, please have available.

Do not follow where the path may lead...Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.-Courage

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
