The family of Kenneth Robert Brady, 68, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so.

Ken served proudly in the Unites States Navy during the Vietnam Era from January 13, 1972 and was honorably discharged on December 8, 1975.  He earned the National Defense Service Medal and was in Aircraft Mechanics.  Kenneth was well respected in his field.

Ken was a self taught harmonica player and performed with various local blues bands.  He was a devoted man of faith and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association.  He enjoyed riding with his fellow Christian brothers.  His wife, Charleen, joined him in his various adventures.

Ken was an all around handy man and could fix everything around the house.  He was an excellent whittler and many admirers prized many of his sculptures, especially his sculptured walking canes that were some of his prized possessions.

His Navy training in Aircraft Maintenance lead him to a career at Naval Air Depot North Island.  His technical knowledge plus his leadership skills enable him to become crew leader of two Metal smith groups over seeing F18 Center Barrel section where he performed with great efficiency

Ken enjoyed spending time with his family and was well respected by all who knew him.  He and his extended family loved caravanning around the country in their motorhome. They called themselves “the bus nuts”.  He loved cruises and the adventures they brought.  Ken loved to help strangers.  He once traveled to Campo to redo house plumbing for an elderly couple that were total strangers to him.  He was a great father to his sons and daughters.  He was a “soccer mom”, “den mom”, baseball coach and helped in Cub Scouts.   He had a great love for animals.

Ken is survived by his wife: Charleen, son: Eljah, daughters: Dominique Pastrana & Jessyca Nichols, sister: Marybeth Hackulich, brother: Will Brady, grandkids: Kiba Nichols, Martin Pastrana, Donovan Pastrana & Oliver, Pastrana.
