The family of CPO Joseph A. Paris, 54, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their Hero for his military service as he receives his final honors, we are privileged to do so.

Joseph Paris enlisted in the US Navy (Seabees) in May, 1984 and served proudly for 20 years, retiring in May, 2004 at the rank of Chief Petty Officer.  He was on ships for much of that time and deployed to many locations in the middle east during the Gulf War.  He was highly decorated and received many awards, a few are Navy Achievement Medal with gold star in lieu of 3rd award, Navy Achievement Medal for Professional Achievement, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal.

After retiring from Active Duty Joe went to work for the Navy in a civilian position at Port Hueneme, he was Director of their Equipment Division, and was working there right up until his passing.  He loved to go camping and traveling around the country, he was originally from Pennsylvania so he was a huge fan of the Eagles, the Flyers and the Phillies.

Joe is survived by fiancee Claire, daughters Tiffany and Kristina, 2 grandchildren James and Jessie, brother Paul and many other extended family and friends.
