The family SFC Norman Franklin Forsythe has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his service and interment, we would be honored to do so.
 
SFC Norman Forsythe enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWII, and saw a lot of action in that devastating war.  As a result of his involvement he was awarded 2 Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.  SFC Forsythe went on to serve 30 years in the Army and was honorably retired at the rank of Sergeant First Class.
 
After retiring from the Army SFC Forsythe also was a volunteer police officer in Tennessee, his home state. He moved to the San Diego area 3 years ago.
 
SFC Forsythe is survived by his wife Olive, 3 daughters, Deborah, Connie and Artina, 1 son, Arthur, 1 sister Ruth, 3 brothers Kenneth, Howard and Gilbert, and numerous grandchildren.
 
NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran. For those interested, and all are welcome, we will be accompanying the hero and his family from the church services to his final resting place. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. For those who would rather go directly to the cemetery, we will meet you there.

The weather is predicted to be hot please stay hydrated and don't forget to eat, it can made a difference with your ability to withstand the heat.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. Everyone is welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there by the R/C (Ride Captain).  Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car).  Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can.  Please ride/drive safely.
