Robert Edwards, 79, USMC, Vietnam, FLO/RNC - 17 AUG
« on: August 15, 2021, 02:59:08 AM »
The family of Private Robert Edwards, a U.S. Marine veteran as well as an LAPD and LAX PD officer, has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to attend his service at RNC and honor his dedication to the USA and the citizens of Los Angeles.  We are honored to do so.

Robert, 79 years old, unexpectedly passed away recently.

Robert served this nation in the U.S. Marine Corps from 23 JAN 1961 until 22 Jan 1965 and it is unknown what his assignments and any awards were in the USMC. After his Marine Corps service, he worked for LAPD and LAX PD for 30 years before retiring. His hobbies included restoring and selling old cars and drawing.  Robert was never married and is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings, sisters Jewell Hale, Frances Boyd-Shepard, Christine Boyd, Helen Boyd, Nadine Boyd and his brother Douglas Ross,
