Part 1 of 2 PartsThe family of LTJG Van Der Saar L. Salomon, 25, and the U S Navy have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to accompany this Hero from the airport to the funeral home, and for his later services. We will be very honored to do so.
LTJG Salomon was serving with the U S Navy with the VT-27 "Boomers" when he unexpectedly passed away. He was very proud to be training as a Navy Pilot and looked forward to a great career in the Navy.
LTJG Salomon, known as Van to his friends and family, grew up in the Los Angeles area and attended high school at Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino where he played varsity football and graduated in 2014. Van excelled at everything he did, in school and in life.
Van is survived by his mother and father and many other family members and friends, and his fellow brothers and sisters in the Navy. He will be remembered by all and never forgotten.
