We have been invited by the family of William A. Weatherman, 93 to be present as he receives his military honors, we are privileged to do so.

William A. Weatherman proudly served his Nation in the Army in the Svc Company 224th Infantry from 1 September 1950 to 1 April 1953 during the Korean War.  More specifically William worked on trucks, jeeps and other military heavy vehicles.  William achieved the Occupation Medal (Japan) and the rank of Corporal.

William Andrew Weatherman was called home to his final resting place on November 16, 2021, at the age of 93.

William was born to the late Otis and Edna Weatherman July 7, 1928 in Garden Grove, CA. In 1949 he married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Walker, and together, they raised two children, Dennis and Janet. Mr. Weatherman was a true family man and was deeply devoted to his wife.

He had a kind, giving spirit and found joy in helping and giving to others. He could always be found giving food from his private garden! He loved his church and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. William enjoyed God's creations, especially the beach, like Newport and Huntington Beach in California. He enjoyed watching football and working on old cars, especially Fords.

The life of William Weatherman was a life well lived, and he will be missed by all who knew him.

William is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley Ann Weatherman; parents, Otis Andrew and Edna Hazel Weatherman; and sisters, Charline Jaggers and Barbara Bloom, and grandson; Joel Wilkins. He is survived by his son, Dennis (Sue) Weatherman; daughter, Janet (Calvin) Wilkins; 10 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

You do not have to be a Veteran or a motorcycle rider to attend this mission. All PGR members are welcome. We encourage those who do not ride to attend in your car. If this will be your first mission go to the initial staging area and you will be briefed there, by the Ride Captain (RC). Dress for motorcycle riding or dress casually if you are driving a cage (car). Please feel free to attend any portion of this mission you can. Please ride/drive safely.

Please remember that our mission is to stand tall and silent, and with honor and respect for our Heroes. No talking, smoking, or cell phone use during the flag line or service. Please keep radios off and engine noise to a minimum. Observe the 15 MPH speed limit. Remember, cemeteries are hallowed ground. Show respect to all who are there, not just the ones we are honoring.
