The family of SCPO Shane Allen Floding has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor their hero for his service. It will be our privilege to do so.

Shane Allen Floding, 43, served his country in the United States Navy for 23 years (1998-2021).  He retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in Naval Nuclear Propulsion. He served 2 deployments to Afghanistan and 3 WESTPAC deployments. Shane earned the following awards; 3 Navy Achievement Medals, 1 Meritorious Unit Citation, 2 Battle E ribbons, 7 Good conduct medals, 2 Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary medals, 1 Global War on Terrorism medal and 3 Sea Service ribbons.

He was a very smart man with degrees in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics. Shane recently retired in August 2021 and sadly passed away, leaving behind his young wife, Rebecca, and two daughters Alexis and Carolina. He was very proud of his military career and his family.
