Part 2 of 2 Parts

The wife of PGR Brother and Air Force Veteran William (Bill) John Kearl (67) has requested the Patriot Guard to accompany Bill to his final resting place.  It is our honor to do so.

Bill, a resident of Apple Valley, was taken to a local hospital after severe pains in his side and vomiting.  The doctor made the decision to Life Flight him to Las Vegas when no beds at local hospitals were available with the medical care it was determined he required.  Unfortunately Bill passed away in the evening of Christmas Day.  Bill was brought home by The Nevada PGR and SoCal PGR to await burial at Riverside National Cemetery.

Bill was an Air Force veteran of 15 years as a security specialist and electrician. His awards were:  Good Conduct w/4 clusters, AF Commendation medal, NCO Military Education Ribbon, AF Longevity Service Ribbon w/2 clusters, National Defense Service Medal, AF Oversees Long Tour Ribbon and Small Arms Markmanship w/1 oak leaf.  After medical retirement from the Air Force, Bill worked as a civilian contractor at the Marine Corps base in Barstow for 26 years until his retirement.

Bill was a Patriot Guard member and attended mission whenever possible.  He enjoyed camping, jeeping, and travel with friends. He was also an avid bowler and bowled a 300 game twice. Bill also loved riding his Harley and in 2017 participated in the Run For The Wall on the Southern Route which earned the nickname the “Tennessee Tidal Wave”.

Bill is survived by his wife Debbie of 36 years, six brothers and sisters, two step sons, four Grandchildren and his beloved pet Maggie as well as many friends Bill met on his journey through life.

For those interested, and all PGR members are welcome, we will be accompanying the Hero from the family residence to the cemetery, a distance of 58 miles. Please see the time table if you would like to participate. If you prefer to meet us at the cemetery please feel free to do so.
