We ask all who will be attending to RSVP Angel ASAP. We need a headcount by 18 March.

The family of Louie Perez, LEO/PGR member, has invited the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) and especially all members who attend Veterans Without Family to honor Louie at his Memorial Service.

Sadly, due to COVID-19 restrictions, services did not occur in 2021. We will be honored to attend Louie's Memorial on 01 April 2022 at his family residence.

We will be honored to attend Louie's Memorial on 01 April 2022 at his family residence.

Louie was born on 29 May 1949 and entered Eternal Rest on 25 April 2021.

Louie was a football player during his college years. He joined Law Enforcement after graduation. When his Law Enforcement Association decided to go into sports, Louie became the Head Coach of their football team.

Louie began his Law Enforcement career at the California Youth Authority, Heman G. Stark, Youth Correctional Facility in Chino. During his tenure at this facility, Louie worked in the General Population Program as a Correctional Youth Counselor and later went to the Specialized Counseling Program. When Louie was promoted to Parole Agent I, he was assigned to the Camp Program. He transferred to the Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO) in the community, where he retired in 2007 as a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Parole Agent II.

Among his many professional traits, Louie was an excellent public speaker. He would be invited to speak at different organizational functions on many occasions.

Louie was active in numerous organizations, including the NLPOA (National Latino Peace Officer Association) San Bernardino/Riverside County Chapter. A member since 2005, Louie held several NLPOA Chapter Board positions. In 2007, Louie retired from the CYA/CDCR as a Parole Agent II.

Louie was an iconic figure in our Veterans Without Family services on Wednesdays. Not only did he attend every Wednesday, but you would also know he was there by his warm welcome, jokes, and making everybody laugh. He had a powerful contagious smile and laughter that would boost morale and bring everyone together. Louie will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Louie is survived by his wife Eileen and son Paul.

NOTE: This mission posting is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.

NOTE: Please observe the latest "COVID-19" restrictions.

We ask all who will be attending to wear blue in honor of Law Enforcement.
